MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two organizations are teaming up to address health disparities affecting Black women.
Adrienne Bryant, executive director of Moreland OB-GYN and president-elect of NAHSE Wisconsin, joined us on Friday, Oct. 10 to discuss the upcoming Black Women’s Health Panel being conducted in partnership with NABJ-Milwaukee.
The event takes place Saturday, Oct. 11 at 11 a.m. at the new Martin Luther King Jr. Library Branch, 2901 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Attendees will hear from local experts on topics including maternal health, mental wellness, hypertension and breast cancer screening.
NABJ-Milwaukee and NAHSE say the discussion aims to create a safe space for women to connect, ask questions and access culturally sensitive information to support their well-being. The panel is free and open to the public.
