Art festival returning to Mitchell Park Domes to close out April
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- This Saturday is the Golden Anniversary Juneteenth Day Celebration and it was coming together on Tuesday, June 15.
Vedale Hill is the Milwaukee artist who is designing the Juneteenth Day mural that will be painted at the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Locust. Hill wants people to come out Saturday and help him create the mural.
"We will have a signup list, you'll get your ambassador and they'll show you exactly what to do. We're gonna have fun, it's gonna be educational, so you'll learn some small techniques in arts and it'll be there as long as our Wisconsin weather allows it to," Hill said.
Juneteenth Day events in Milwaukee are free and open to the public.
The parade will kick off the activities at 8 a.m.
