MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) is investigating a shooting that killed a woman and injured multiple others on Saturday, Oct. 9, near 37th and Chambers.
Police say that three people were shot during the incident which occurred at approximately 4:26 p.m.
Authorities report that a 30-year-old Milwaukee woman suffered a fatal gunshot wound and died on scene.
Milwaukee police say that the second victim, a 44-year-old man from Milwaukee, had a non-fatal gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital. He is reportedly in stable condition and expected to survive.
Police report that a third victim, a 23-year-old victim from Milwaukee, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was sent to a local hospital. The 23-year-old victim is in critical but stable condition and is expected to survive.
Milwaukee police are seeking an unknown suspect.
Officials say that the circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under investigation.
