MSOE students take part in annual egg drop contest

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Students at MSOE held their annual St. Patrick's week egg drop contest Friday, March 18. 

Taking a break from their studies, students tried to see who could engineer the best way to protect a raw egg during a three-story fall.

The catch? They don't know in advance what supplies they can work with and they only get 30 minutes to build their contraption. 

The only guarantee is that supplies are unconventional -- things like toothpicks, Dixie cups, playing cards or Oreo cookies.
