MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Public Schools says they're doing everything they can to support students during this challenging time.
On Monday, students and parents showed up at South Division High School for the first day of the "Stop, Grab and Go" operation.
South Division High School is one of 20 distribution sites MPS set up throughout the city. They're passing out packages of breakfast, lunch and daily reading materials for students.
It takes place Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. This comes after Governor Tony Evers ordered all public and private schools to close due to coronavirus concerns.
About 76,000 students are being impacted.
Superintendent Dr. Keith Posley says they might even have to open more sites if a large number of families come through.
