MPD investigating two unrelated shootings early Friday morning

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating two separate shootings that occurred around the same time Friday morning.

Police say the first shooting happened near S. 5th Pl. and W. Burnham St. around 12:15 a.m. A 28-year-old man was shot and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The shooting remains under investigation.

The second shooting happened near W. Mitchell St. and S. 18th St. around 12:20 a.m. A 53-year-old man showed up at a local hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds, according to police. The incident remains under investigation.
