MPD Investigating Two Shootings Sunday

The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating two shootings that occurred Sunday. This comes just one day after the city's homicide total reached 85, one less than last year's yearly total of 86.

A shooting that occurred at approximately 4:50 pm in the 3000 block of N 25th St. The victim, a 27-year-old female, sustained non-life threatening injuries and is being treated at an area hospital. The shooting occurred as a result of a dispute. There are no suspects in custody at this time.

A shooting that occurred at approximately 5:25 pm in the 2400 block of N Buffum St.  The victim, a 26-year-old male, sustained a non-life threatening injury and is being treated at an area hospital. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unclear at this time, as the victim is being less than forthcoming. There are no suspects in custody at this time.

Investigations into both shootings are ongoing.
