MPD investigating two overnight shootings, one fatal


mso-fareast-font-family:\"Times New Roman\";color:black\">Milwaukee police are investigating two shootings that happened on Milwaukee’s north and northwest side.


mso-fareast-font-family:\"Times New Roman\";color:black\">One was a homicide that occurred at about 3:35pm in the 4000 block of W. Hampton.  The victim is a 23 year-old male, who was shot.  The victim was in his vehicle stopped at a traffic signal when words were exchanged with occupants of another vehicle. At which time, occupants of the other vehicle fired shots striking the victim.  The victim’s vehicle traveled east and struck several other vehicles after the victim was shot. Police are still working to develop a suspect vehicle description.  


mso-fareast-font-family:\"Times New Roman\";color:black\">Police are also investigating a shooting that occurred at 4:10pm in the 2900 block of N. 21st Street.  The victim is a 15 year-old male who suffered a non-life threatening injury. Police say the victim was walking on the sidewalk when an unknown suspect confronted him for no reason.  The suspect reached into his pocket and the victim feared the suspect had a gun and fled. The victim heard shots and then realized he was shot.  Police also say the victim did not report the incident until two hours after it happened.
