Milwaukee Police: Man dies from injuries after being shot by man he tried to rob

UPDATE: MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The man killed in a shooting near W. Fond du Lac Avenue and W. Flagg Avenue early Monday morning has been identified as 21year-old Carlos Martin. 

Milwaukee Police say once their investigation is complete, the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office will review the case.

UPDATE: MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police responded to a homicide in a business's parking lot near W. Fond du Lac Ave. and W. Flagg Ave. around 5:50 a.m. Monday morning. 

Police say a 21-year-old man tried to rob a 24-year-old man. The robbery victim then shot the robbery suspect, and the 21-year-old man died from his injuries. 

The 24-year-old man remained on scene and is cooperating with MPD. The investigation is ongoing.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Monday morning.

Authorities confirm an adult male was fatally shot near W. Fond Du Lac Ave. and W. Flagg Ave.

Police are currently on the scene investigating.
