MPD arrests 16-year-old armed robbery suspect
MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police bust a teenage armed robbery suspect who threatened to shoot two other teenagers if they didn't hand over their phones and cash.
Police responded to the 300 block of W. Rosedale Ave. after getting reports of an armed robbery. A 13-year-old male and 14-year-old male told police another teenager threatened to shoot them if they didn't give up their phones. The armed robber got away with their phones and cash.
Officers found a 16-year-old suspect in the 900 block of W. Dakota St. While officers were questioning the teen, one officer called the stolen phones. The phone in the 16-year-old's backpack illuminated and rang.
Police have referred the case to the Milwaukee Police Department.
