Motorcyclist collides with deer in Germantown, taken to hospital by Flight for Life

GERMANTOWN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 50-year-old man is in the hospital after police say he collided with a deer while on his motorcycle early Thursday morning.

The crash happened around 4:15 a.m. on State Highway 145 just north of Goldendale Road in Germantown. 

A witness saw sparks in the roadway and found the man unconscious on the side of the road along with a dead deer. 

The man was taken to a Milwaukee hospital by Flight for Life in critical but stable condition. Police say he was not wearing a helmet.
