Mother Nature Full of Hot Air & Humidity

The next few days will be the most intense in terms of heat and humidity.  The worst will be Thursday afternoon when the heat index reaches 105 in many locales.  Both the air temperature and humidity level are added together to come up with the heat index.  In weather like this, you have to find the shade.  Better yet, stay inside with the A/C.  Make sure to drink lots of water and check on the pets.

With all the intense heat and humidity, we have the chance for storms, starting mid-afternoon Thursday.  But by far, the best chance will be late Thursday night into Friday morning.  Some of the storms could be strong, and the rain might be heavy, perhaps a few inches in spots.

Because of all of these changes, make sure to download the free CBS58 weather app when you're away from your home or computer  It could save your life.
