More storms possible as we head into the holiday weekend but fairly dry for drones and fireworks

While most of southeast Wisconsin stayed dry Wednesday afternoon and evening, a few areas did see some showers, downpours or even strong storms with gusty wind and small hail. There will be a rinse and repeat chance for similar storms on Thursday with a dry morning leading to a chance for isolated storms in the afternoon and evening. Any storms that do form look to clear out by the later evening hours so the Milwaukee July 3rd drone show looks mostly dry and cooler as temps drop into the low 70s.

Just like Wednesday, any storms that do form could be on the stronger side with areas away from the Lakefront currently included in a Level 1 Marginal risk.

After Thursday's isolated rain chance we could see some showers and storms off and on throughout July 4th on Friday. There will be lots of dry time but a few showers and storms are possible in the morning, afternoon and early evening. But just like Thursday, I do think we dry out for fireworks by 9 PM.

Saturday also has a chance for some storms but not until the evening so most of the day is just hot and humid. Sunday will be the best chance for scattered off and on storms. After all of the heat and humidity Friday and Saturday highs in the 90s and tropical level humidity pushing feels like temps into the mid to upper 90s, Sunday will be a touch cooler but still humid with highs in the mid 80s.
