Missing Endangered Person Located in Sewer Access Box in Franklin

Franklin Fire Department rescued a 26-year-old that fell into an open sewer access box which was under construction and was unable to climb out, according to a release by Franklin Police Department.

At 8:30 AM, the Franklin Police Department received a call of a cognitively disable person that had walked away from their residence in the area of South 27th Street and Minnesota Avenue.

The 26-year-old was last seen walking in the 3000 block of Minnesota Avenue at 7:00 AM.

Franklin officers were assisted by Franklin Firefighters in actively searching for the person.

The person was found in the open sewer access box. The subject did not appear to have sustained injuries but was transported for medical evaluation.
