Minor rain chances can't be ruled out over the next several days
A handful of spots in southeast Wisconsin had additional showers and isolated downpours this morning. While most folks saw light rain, the few downpours dropped .30-.50" of localized rain.
This activity has largely tapered off with mainly dry conditions through the rest of the afternoon. The overall weather pattern for the next several days will feature two slow moving system that are cutoff from the main jet stream flow. This will cause the systems and subsequent rain showers to meander through the area from time to time. No day is a washout, but there are at least isolated chances nearly every day into early next week.
With these types of system, it's hard to precisely predict exact timing and location of the rain as far out as usual. Right now, it looks like we'll be mainly dry the rest of today and a majority of Thursday. A few stray showers can't be ruled out well inland late Thursday afternoon with a better chance for rain Thursday night into Friday morning.
Timing remains uncertain for shower chances Saturday and Sunday, so keep an eye on updated forecast in the coming days. Wind direction over this time frame will be south to southeast, which will help keep temps in the upper 70s to around 80.
This southerly flow will also cause slightly higher dew points than we've had recently. Dew points have already climbed back into the low to mid 60s and will remain there through the weekend.
