A mini-van fled from police at a high rate of speed in Brown Deer and River Hills on Thursday, according to Brown Deer Police Department.

A Brown Deer Police Officer reported trying to stop a Kia Sedona mini-van with Massachusetts license plates for speeding.

The driver disregarded three red traffic control signals and drove into oncoming traffic.

The Brown Deer Police Officer did not pursue the vehicle.

The River Hills Police Department then attempted to stop the vehicle in the 7900 block of N. Green Bay Rd, but again the driver fled at a high rate of speed, also driving into oncoming traffic.

A Community Service Officer later reported being out with the vehicle in the parking lot in the 4500blk of W Dean Rd.

The vehicle was later determined to be stolen from the city of Milwaukee. Located in the vehicle were drugs and a pistol that was reported stolen in Waukesha.
