Milwaukee's Unsolved Bank Robberies: Running into a retired cop

 MILWAUKEE -- Bank robberies continue to rise in Wisconsin. For most of 2014, the FBI office in Milwaukee said they are outpacing their counterparts in Chicago.


 

On Monday, CBS 58 featured a bank robber who gets in an altercation with a retired Milwaukee Police Officer.

 

The bank robbery happened on June 4, 2014 at the Bank Mutual on Capitol Drive in Milwaukee.

 

The FBI said the suspect was very rushed in his approach to the robbery and was wearing a stripped hooded sweatshirt.

 

While the suspect was getting cash from the teller, a retired Milwaukee police officer heard what was going on.

 

He attempted to tackle the suspect and stop him.

 

The bank robber was able to break free and take off with the money.
