Black Friday has come and gone, but that doesn't mean the sales are over. Saturday was dedicated to small businesses.
Small Business Saturday started back in 2010 by American Express as a way to showcase small businesses and what they offer.
\"Start-up businesses need to thrive in order for us to increase the employment base. This is a real reminder of that value,\" said Rep. Gwen Moore.
Saturday Rep. Gwen Moore and Mayor Tom Barrett spent time in Milwaukee's Third Ward to shop on Small Business Saturday.
\"We want people to realize there are some great locally owned businesses here in the city of Milwaukee and they should take a look at some of these shops. They are fantastic shops,\" said Barrett.
