MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Let's face it: Halloween gets a lot of attention this week. But there's another holiday also making headlines, and it seems to be getting more exposure each and every year.
"Day of the Dead" is actually a multi-day event, heavily influenced in Mexican culture, commemorating those who have died.
Latino Arts, on the south side, is a spot to check out with its temporary exhibit featuring numerous altars, or ofrendas.Typically, they're made up of flowers, pictures of the dead, candles, food and personal items. On Friday, Halloween itself, there will be an exhibition opening from 5 to 7 PM followed by a Mexican dance recital starting at 7 p.m.
