FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A wrestling icon is using his platform to help the survivors of the Menasha tornado. 

Southeastern Wisconsin local Adam Scherr, a former WWE star known as Braun Strowman, organized a donation drive-up Thursday, July 30, to collect items for Fox Valley relief. 

Within just a half-hour or so, an entire truck was filled with donations, and a second truck is being brought down. 

Former WWE champ Braun Strowman, now the host of the food show "Everything on the Menu," orchestrated all of this. His family is from Wisconsin, and he calls it home. He actually lives up in Hartford. 

When Strowman saw the tornado damage in Menasha Tuesday morning, he felt compelled to do something about it, so he called up the owner of Great Lakes Championship Wrestling. They connected him with the Milwaukee Milkmen and planned this donation drive-up event in the Franklin Field parking lot. 

So far, it's been incredibly busy, with dozens of cars stopping by. Scherr told us he feels honored to use his platform for something so important. 

"You see this community coming together like this, and they're doing everything they can to help get these people back on their feet," Strowman said. "And showing why Wisconsin is Wisconsin. It's so amazing. It's because of the people and the community and they love they have for each other."

The drive started at 10 a.m. and goes until 2 p.m. 

Some of the most important items they need are supplies for babies, electrolyte drinks, nonperishables, etc.
