Milwaukee's COVID-19 vaccine website sees high traffic as registration opens

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee city officials are asking people to be patient as they roll out new ways of signing up to get the COVID vaccine.

Those who are eligible can now visit a new city website or call a phone number.

The health department's website had so much traffic Wednesday, Feb. 3, they decided to open the vaccine registration portal a few hours early.

"Understand and know that there are not enough vaccines for everyone today. And so we're just asking that you continue to go back and check," said Milwaukee City Health Commissioner Marlaina Jackson.

Those who are eligible for the vaccine can go to Milwaukee.gov/covidvax to make an appointment.
