Milwaukee woman suffers severe injuries in hit-and-run, police seek information

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 37-year-old woman is facing life-threatening injuries following a hit-and-run near 14th and Atkinson in Milwaukee on Thursday, May 11, according to Milwaukee police.

The Milwaukee Police Department reports that a westbound vehicle collided with a pedestrian who was crossing W. Atkinson Ave. at around 9:10 p.m. Thursday night.

MPD says that the driver fled the scene, leaving authorities searching for their identity.

The woman pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that officials describe as life-threatening.
