MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Over 3,500 members from eight states will gather in Milwaukee for the 89th annual Central Regional Conference of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. from April 6 - 9.
Kiahna Davis, Central Regional Director of Alpha Kappa Alpha joined us on Wednesday, April 5 to offer more details.
Themed "A Confident and Captivating Region Soaring through the Journey of a Lifetime in a Great Place on a Great Lake," the event features workshops, business sessions and professional development opportunities.
Alpha Kappa Alpha members will collect non-perishable food items for their Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Pack program. The public is invited to participate by donating food or gift cards on Friday, April 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Wisconsin Center Vendor Exhibit Hall.
