Milwaukee Transportation Board discussing expansion of Amtrak routes to Foxconn plant

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- On Thursday, February 8 the Public Transportation Review Board will be joined by representatives from Wisconsin DOT and Regional Planning Commission to discuss the possible expansion of Amtrak service in Milwaukee.

The proposed Amtrak expansion could add three additional round trip runs between Milwaukee and Chicago daily, offering more options to commuters.

The board will also take this proposal up as an opportunity to discuss the need for transit service to the Foxconn development in Mount Pleasant.

The Public Transportation Review Board meets at 10 a.m. in room 301-B of City Hall.
