Milwaukee students celebrate Black History Month with drive-thru event

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Students at a Milwaukee charter school were back at school Thursday, Feb. 11 -- but not for classes.

The Milwaukee Excellence Charter School held a drive-thru event Thursday afternoon.

It was a combined celebration of Black History Month and Valentine's Day.

Besides the Valentine's Day décor, there were cutouts of African American leaders and superheroes. 

All the kids who stopped by with their families received a gift bag to take home.
