Milwaukee police search for man accused of killing 37-year-old during argument over PlayStation
CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Milwaukee police are searching for a 21-year-old man accused of fatally shooting another man during an argument over a PlayStation.
Police identified the suspect as Darius Shelton, who is wanted on a warrant for first-degree reckless homicide.
The shooting happened nearly two weeks ago near North 12th Street and West Keefe Avenue.
When officers arrived, police said they found children screaming on the porch of the home. Inside, officers found 37-year-old Marris Virgil suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Virgil died at the scene.
According to police, a witness said Virgil and Shelton had been arguing over who owned a PlayStation inside the home before the dispute escalated.
The witness reported hearing several gunshots before seeing Shelton holding a firearm.
She told investigators Shelton then pointed the gun at her and threatened her before running from the scene.
Shelton remains at large.
