Milwaukee squad car hit injuring 2 officers, 1 driver in custody

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Police are investigating a squad car accident that took place on Sherman and Auer Ave. on Friday, May 19 around 12 a.m.

The squad car was responding to a call when it was struck from behind by the driver of a silver Hyundai. The two officers in the squad car, ages 23 and 24, were taken to a local hospital and were treated. They both are in stable condition.

The driver of the Silver Hyundai was a 29-year-old female who was taken into custody for suspected OWI. Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
