MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Scylla Women's Rugby Club is looking to bring a championship to the city.
Molly Stieber, head coach of the Milwaukee Scylla Women's Rugby Club, and Jessica "Cashew" Gold, the club's president and player joined us on Wednesday, April 19 to discuss their team's ambition to compete for a National DII title.
The Milwaukee-based competitive senior women's rugby team recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.
Established in 2001, the club has participated in the national playoffs three times, winning the National Championship in 2017.
Last year, Scylla claimed the Midwest championship title by defeating the Detroit Rugby Football Club, earning a chance to compete for the national title once again in the upcoming spring season.
