Dropping temps and a shower chance for Brewers Opening Day
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Earth Day is on April 22nd, and the Milwaukee Riverkeepers are working to keep the community clean this spring.
The 26th Annual Milwaukee Riverkeeper Spring Cleanup will be taking place on Saturday, April 24.
This is a community-wide effort across Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington and Waukesha counties.
Volunteers will be working that day to clean up trash around our communities' waterways.
"The goal is to remove more than 100,000 pounds of trash from our river system to restore the waterways," said Lindsey McKee, communications and group tour manager for Visit Milwaukee.
Milwaukee Riverkeepers will provide volunteers supplies like gloves, trash bags and free T-shirts.
