MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is currently searching for the person who caused an accident which resulted in a pedestrian being hit.
Police responded to the area of 25th and Wisconsin for a report of an accident involving two vehicles and a pedestrian.
It happened around 11:30 a.m. on Monday.Â
According to police, one vehicle disregarded a stop sign and struck the second vehicle, causing it to hit a pedestrian on the sidewalk.
The male pedestrian was seriously injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The driver of the first vehicle fled on foot from the accident. He is described as a black male, 5'5"-5'10", between 160-180 pounds. He was last seen running westbound on Wisconsin Ave. wearing a red long sleeve sweater with black pants.Â
Police are still searching for that individual.
