Milwaukee Police searching for burglary suspect who pretended to work for water company
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are currently asking the public for help in identifying a suspect wanted for a home burglary.
It happened around 11 a.m. in the 2300 block of South 30th Street.
According to police, the suspect knocked on the victim's door claiming that he worked for the water company and needed to inspect the water meter in the basement.
The victim allowed the suspect inside her home. While they were in the basement, a second suspect allegedly entered the home and stole a large amount of money and left the scene without being detected.
The victim later escorted the first suspect out of her home and realized that money was missing.
Suspect one is described as a white male, 50 years of age, 5’05”-5’07”, 160-180 Ibs, medium build, clean shaven who was last seen wearing a tan canvas jacket. The second suspect was not observed.
