Milwaukee Police respond to accident with stolen vehicle and MCTS bus

The Milwaukee Police are investigating an injury accident that occurred at 4:45pm in the intersection of 51st and W. Villard Av. A 2004 Honda Van, stolen in Milwaukee yesterday, was westbound on Villard  when it went through a red light and collided with a southbound 2015 Hyundai Tucson. The Tucson then veered into the east bound lane and glanced off of an eastbound Milwaukee County Transit System bus.

The 5 occupants of the stolen van fled on foot after the accident, 2 of the occupants, both females in their early teens were located and arrested. This group was involved in a strong arm robbery where a woman had her purse taken at the Walmart located at 103rd and W. Silver Spring a short time before the accident. The purse and other evidence was recovered from inside the van, both females suffered very minor injuries.
