MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a serious car accident that occurred on 17th and Highland.

The driver of the van was heading east on Highland and ran a red light, hitting another car that was headed south on 17th street.

One of the drivers in the car was a 22-year-old woman.

She was transported to a local hospital and is in critical condition.

The one-month-old passenger did not have any injuries, but did receive medical attention.

The other 40-year-old female driver is in stable condition.

The van did leave the scene, but later returned.

This investigation is ongoing.
