Milwaukee police detective ordered to stand trial on misconduct charges

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Police Detective Rodolfo Gomez charged with beating a handcuffed suspect is ordered to stand trial. Gomez waived his right to a preliminary hearing.


Police say Gomez used excessive force on a suspect during an interrogation at Milwaukee Police Headquarters in August 2013. The suspect being questioned by Gomez was allegedly connected to an infant death.


Gomez was the lead detective in the high profile fetal abduction and murder case on Milwaukee's south side.


Rodolfo is charged with misconduct in public office, he'll arraigned December 5, 2013.
