MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department announced a new reporting system for the public Tuesday, Oct. 11.
A new website called Police to Citizen (P2C) will give the public the ability to report certain types of crime without the need of a sworn or civilian member of the police department.
Police Chief Jeffrey Norman says there are three crimes you can report -- those include thefts under $2,500 in value, vandalism or property damage also valued under $2,500 or lost property.
The incident must have occurred in the city of Milwaukee and the reporting individual must be 18 years of age or older. A valid email address is also required.
Chief Norman says a decision will be made at a later date whether to add more crimes to the website.
