MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The Milwaukee Police Band is hosting a free concert Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Pabst Theater.
Retired Lt. Karen Dubis, vice president of the Milwaukee Police Band Association and Retired Lt. Michael Schmitz joined us on Wednesday, Feb. 4 to talk about the concert.
They discussed how the Milwaukee Police Band began and how long they have been part of the it. They discussed how the nonprofit band is funded entirely by volunteers and donations and receives no city funding.
They also shared what they hope people walk away feeling after seeing the Milwaukee Police Band perform.
The band performs at memorials, ceremonies and events across the city. Check them out online by clicking here.
