MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Milwaukee Police say several people are detained following the stabbing of a parking enforcement officer early Tuesday morning.
According to police, a parking enforcement officer was stabbed around 2:30 a.m. while issuing a parking citation near 67th and Villard. The officer was confronted by two suspects who then punched and kicked the officer. Police say during the assault, one of the suspects stabbed the victim.
The officer was able to free himself, get into his car and drive to a nearby police station where he received medical care. Police say he was taken to a local hospital where he is being treated for his injuries and is listed in stable condition.
The parking enforcement officer is a 60-year-old man.
The investigation is ongoing.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A city of Milwaukee parking enforcement officer was stabbed early Tuesday morning.
According to police, the person was stabbed around 2:30 a.m.
Authorities say the officer was issuing a ticket when a person confronted them and stabbed the officer.
The incident remains under investigation.
