Milwaukee officials battle overnight home fire on 39th and Sheridan
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee firefighters responded to a fire at a two-story house on 39th and Sheridan, where officials tell CBS 58 heavy smoke was seen after calls came in a little after 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 23.
The fire reportedly started in the basement.
MFD also confirmed to CBS 58 that one individual was found outside the property, unresponsive, but was subsequently revived by medical personnel. Another person, described as being immobile, was discovered inside the house but was responsive.
Both individuals were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Responders say the fire was put out by around 1:58 a.m., with final searches of the premises concluding at around 2:15 a.m. The total duration of the fire was estimated to be about 30 minutes.
