MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee mother has been charged in connection to the death of her 3-year-old son. 

Thirty-four-year-old Zaquitta Joiner-Murphy faces one count of child neglect resulting in death in connection to the death of her son, Da'Quarius Berry. 

He died last week from abdominal blunt force trauma. 

Joiner-Murphy told police the boy hadn't had any recent accidents that would cause those injuries. 

According to the criminal complaint, she was working at a bar the previous night and said her upstairs neighbor was watching her children. However, that neighbor was not at the home at the time of the incident. The only other adult in the residence was Joiner-Murphy's boyfriend, Marcus Jenkins. 

They are the two current suspects in Da'Quarius Berry's death.
