Milwaukee man sentenced to 50 years for murdering 2 while out on bail
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man was sentenced to 50 years in prison Monday, May 8, for shooting and killing two people while out on bail.
Allen Grant, 62, pleaded guilty to two counts first-degree reckless homicide after fatally shooting two people in July of 2022.
In March, Grant was charged with fleeing an officer and possessing a firearm as a felon. A judge lowered his bail from $10,000 down to just $1,000. Grant paid it and was released.
Then, on the night of July 8, officials say Grant got into an argument with his downstairs neighbor on West Carmen and shot him three or four times. He then drove to a home on N. 44th and shot a woman once in the forehead while she was on her porch.
Grant's prison sentence will be followed by 20 years of extended supervision.
