Milwaukee man sentenced to 10 years for shipping meth

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 33-year-old Milwaukee man was sentenced to ten years in prison for his role in a meth ring in Northeast Wisconsin. Levester Brown appeared in court in Green Bay on Monday for the sentencing hearing.

In the Spring of 2017, Brown repeatedly traveled from his house in Milwaukee to Phoenix to buy pure methamphetamine. Brown shipped the meth through the Postal Service to people in Milwaukee and Brown Deer and would then transport the drugs to a distributor in Green Bay.

Last June members of the DEA and Postal Inspection Service arrested Brown as he attempted to ship about nine pounds of meth.

Following his release from prison, Brown will serve 10 years on federal supervised release.
