Milwaukee man killed in crash near 55th and Wright, weather conditions and speed believed to be factors

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal single vehicle crash early Thursday morning. 

According to police, a vehicle driving northbound on N. 55th St. attempted to turn when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree near the intersection of W. Wright St. 

The victim, a 48-year-old Milwaukee man, was the sole occupant in the vehicle. He experienced significant trauma, and unfortunately died on scene. 

No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Weather conditions and speed are believed to be contributing factors to the crash.
