MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A Milwaukee man is facing a homicide charge in the death of a 2-month-old baby.
Court documents state Kenta Evans is charged with first degree homicide.
According to a criminal complaint, 2-month-old Jaquerrion Dancer was taken to the hospital on June 5 and diagnosed with skull fractures, hemorrhaging, cerebral edema and other injuries.
Dancer’s mother told authorities Evans came over to see the baby, but got angry and accused the mother of having other men in the home.
Court documents state Evans followed the mother into the bedroom where she picked Dancer up and told Evans to leave.
According to the criminal complaint, Evans got mad and then started punching the mother as she was holding the baby.
Another person came into the room and took the baby from the mother. Dancer was bleeding from the mouth and was taken to the hospital.
The 2-month-old died hours later.
Evans admitted to being in a fight and said the injuries to the baby were caused by his punches. He faces up to 60 years in prison.
