Milwaukee Man Arrested in Washington County with a Stolen Car from Indiana

A Milwaukee man was arrested on Monday after he was stopped for speeding in what turned out to be a stolen car from Indiana.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office took a 22-year-old City of Milwaukee man into custody early this morning after he was stopped for speeding on I41 near Hwy K in the Town of Addison at 1:49 a.m.

A deputy on routine patrol clocked the man, who was operating a dark blue Ford Explorer with temporary Indiana plates, southbound on I41 at 100 mph.

After making contact with the driver, the deputy determined the driver had an active felony arrest warrant out of the State of Indiana for theft of a motor vehicle.

After the subject was arrested, it was also determined by the VIN that the vehicle was also stolen out of Indiana.

The man remains in custody at the Washington County Jail where he is awaiting extradition to Indiana.
