Milwaukee Man Arrested for Shots Fired Incident in West Allis
UPDATE: A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for a shots fired incident in West Allis.
West Allis Police Department responded on Tuesday to a report of shots fired outside of a business located in the 2400 block of S. 84th St.
According to police, initial investigation indicates an altercation occurred in front of the business and shots were fired.
The shots were fired from inside of a vehicle containing several individuals and the vehicle fled the scene. Employees of the business assisted officers by providing a description of the vehicle and a direction of travel. It does not appear anybody was struck or injured by the gunfire.
Officers located the suspect vehicle in the 1600 block of S. 84th St. and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.
During the traffic stop, the female driver exited the vehicle pursuant to officers’ direction. A male occupant of the vehicle took control of the vehicle and fled from the traffic stop. West Allis Police officers engaged in a pursuit of the vehicle.
This pursuit was terminated by officers in the area of 35th St. and Center St.
Officers and detectives of the West Allis Police Department continued to investigate the incident in attempt to locate the vehicle and its occupants.
West Allis investigators arrested the suspected shooter at a residence in the City of Milwaukee. A 25-year-old man from Milwaukee is currently in custody.
