Milwaukee man arrested for disorderly conduct after allegedly headbutting building inspector

WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man has been charged after police say he allegedly headbutted a Waukesha building inspector.

David Janczak, 57, is facing charges of Battery to Employees of Counties and Disorderly Conduct.

According to the criminal complaint, a building inspector reported that a man, later identified as Janczak, was being aggressive and pushed him and head-butted him.

The Police Chief made contact with Janczak who was making derogatory comments. He allegedly told police that building inspectors are guys that can't build anything.

Janczak also allegedly threatened the responding Police Chief and the building inspector.

Police spoke with the building inspector who said that he had stopped by the construction site on South Weathers Edge Circle in Lannon to check the status of building code violations at the site. The building inspector said he asked the mason what drainage mat product they were installing. That's when the mason, later identified as Janczak, allegedly became verbally abusive and vulgar.

The building inspector also told police that he is extremely concerned for his family's safety and well-being.
