Milwaukee Man Allegedly Shoots at Officer after Home Burglary

A Milwaukee man has been charged after shooting at an officer on November 17 after a home burglary.

Dabreon Jefferson is charged with burglary and attempted first degree intentional homicide.

According to the criminal complaint, a juvenile contacted 911 saying that an unknown male was trying to break into her home in the 4500 block of North 26th Street.

When police arrived on the scene they found a man looking into the rear window of the residence.

According to the criminal complaint, officers asked the suspect to show his hands and the suspect then pointed his gun at an officer and fired at him.

The officer fired back twice.

Numerous officers arrived on the scene to assist.

Officers later recovered inside a vehicle a television taken from the home allegedly by the suspect.

According to the criminal complaint, the suspect allegedly admitted to police that he stole a handgun and television from the residence.

He allegedly told police that when the officer yelled for him to drop the gun he pulled the gun out of the waistband and discharged it.
