Milwaukee Man Allegedly Burglarized a Church on Sunday

A Milwaukee man was arrested for burglarizing a Catholic Church in Washington County.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary that occurred at the Resurrection Catholic Church located at 215 Main St. in Allenton.

 The incident occurred Sunday at 12:18 p.m. when parishioners were in the basement of the church and heard loud noises coming from upstairs.

One witness went upstairs only to come face-to-face with a male holding a pry bar and one other male exiting the room where the safe is located.

Wisconsin State Trooper located the suspect’s vehicle in St. Lawrence.

The only occupant, a 52-year-old City of Milwaukee man, was arrested where he remains in custody.
