MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Health Department has temporarily closed all six Pizza Hut locations in Milwaukee.
Health officials say the restaurants changed ownership without securing the required licenses.
The closures began April 21 when a health inspector learned a new company had taken over weeks earlier.
This was the first time the health department had been informed of the ownership change.
When there is a change in ownership, the new operator must obtain a valid license before the business can legally reopen. The department says five of the six locations have submitted applications for licenses at this time.
Once they are approved, the businesses will be eligible to reopen.
