Milwaukee Firefighter Assaulted

Milwaukee Police were monitoring a crowd at 60th and Capitol Drive, on Saturday, September 5th at about 7:20 PM when a member of the crowd began to have a medical emergency. 

The crowd would not move back from the patient and became disorderly with police and firefighters as they attempted to treat the patient. A member of the crowd struck a firefighter in the face with a closed fist causing a minor injury. 

The suspect, a 26-year-old Milwaukee man, was arrested for battery to a firefighter. 

The person having the medical emergency was evaluated at a local hospital.
